This is when Toronto’s outdoor ice rinks are set to open
November 18, 2021
Toronto residents can enjoy outdoor rinks in the city by the end of November.
On Thursday, Mayor John Tory reiterated that 38 of the city’s outdoor ice rinks will open on Nov. 27 to kick off Welcome T.O. Winter. The remaining 13 outdoor rinks will open on Dec. 4.
These rinks will operate from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and will be open for free leisure skate, as well as shinny (an informal type of hockey played on ice), instructional programs, and permits.
This year, skating reservations will not be required, although change rooms will only be available at 50% capacity (skaters are encouraged to arrive dressed for skating).
